May be reassigned to different caseload or geographic location within a county as deemed necessary for program operation. Requires HS diploma/GED and Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with Home Visitor endorsement, or required to obtain Home Visitor CDA within 1 year of hire; OR degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Family Studies, Social Work, or related field within 1 year of hire. A degree is considered related only when it includes 6 or more courses in one of the above-mentioned fields. Requires 1 year experience working with infants/toddlers or preschool children and their families. Must have experience in the following: child development and early childhood education, principles of child health, safety, and nutrition; adult learning principles, family dynamics; communicating and motivating adults; community resources; and linking families with appropriate resources.
