3.) Home Visitor- 40 hours per/year round. This job provides case management, family advocacy, and education to families in an assigned caseload. Provides and links families to comprehensive services, including home visits and socialization activities. Works with typically and atypically developing children and their families in a home-based setting. May be reassigned to different caseload or geographic location within a county as deemed necessary for program operation. Requires HS diploma/GED and Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with Home Visitor endorsement, or required to obtain Home Visitor CDA within 1 year of hire; OR degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Family Studies, Social Work, or related field within 1 year of hire. A degree is considered related only when it includes 6 or more courses in one of the above-mentioned fields. Requires 1 year experience working with infants/toddlers or preschool children and their families. Must have experience in the following: child development and early childhood education, principles of child health, safety, and nutrition; adult learning principles, family dynamics; communicating and motivating adults; community resources; and linking families with appropriate resources.
